Where to find the Best Cannoli in Perth!

Have you found a great cannoli in Perth? They certainly are Italy’s most loved dessert pastry, and when you bite into one, it’s easy to understand why! Deep-fried cylindrical pastry shells filled with sweetened whipped ricotta mixed with candied citron or chocolate – what’s there not to love?
Originating in the Sicilian city of Palermo, it is believed they are the culinary legacy of the Saracens who introduced sugar and many almond-based sweets to the island.
Our Top 5 Cannoli in Perth
We’ve been on the hunt for quite a while for the holy grail of cannoli in Perth. Sticking to the simplicity of a ricotta-filled cannoli (often called Sicilian) we’ve tasted many around the city.
Here are our TOP 5 CANNOLI in the Western Australian capital city of Perth:

Corica Pastries – Northbridge
We found the pastry a little thick and hard, and as much as this one delivered the best on looks we thought the ricotta was a little grainy. However, we really liked the addition of the cherry and almond but longed for some candied citron or chocolate chips.
RATING: 7/10
NOTE: Corica’s chocolate cannoli rated the best of all the chocolate ones we tried with a delicious strong chocolate creamy custard with a perfect sweetness.

La Delizia Latticini – East Victoria Park
Excellent crisp and flaky pastry. We loved the flavour of their ricotta filling (Hello! They use their own delicious store-made ricotta) and the pistachio dipped end. We just felt the filling was a little too light and not thick like a good Sicilian cannoli would usually be. They must have changed their recipe recently as we had tried some earlier in the year and the filling was sweet and dense. We’d love them to return to their old recipe – if they do, we’d definitely give them a 10/10 rating.
RATING: 8/10
NOTE: La Delizia Latticini also makes the most amazing handcrafted cheeses from fresh non-homogenized milk from local South West farms. If you are a cheese connoisseur, you just have to try their Mozzarella, Burrata, and Stracciatella (a soft, fresh cheese best known as the delicious centre of burrata). So delicious!!

Dolcetto Patisserie – North Perth
This amazing little Italian pastry shop always reminds us of being in Italy, filled with the most delicious cookies, freshly made Sicilian cheesecake, and every Italian sweet imaginable. They even create Cannoli towers to order (how amazing would this be for a wedding!).
The cannoli we tried were delicious, but unfortunately, we found the shell a little soggy. It was late in the day when we dropped in, so maybe this is why. We’d love to try one of their cannoli freshly piped.
RATING: 7/10
NOTE: Dolcetto’s Hazelnut Baci were chocolatey and fudgy in the centre. They are the best we’ve found in Perth!

Fiorentina Patisserie – North Perth
This cannoli had light crisp pastry, and we loved the addition of chocolate chips in the ricotta. The filling was thick, smooth, creamy and not too sweet. The chocolate chips gave it a perfect measure of sweetness.
It is definitely one of our favourites! A bonus is that their cafe is a lovely spot to enjoy an espresso and a sweet treat.
RATING: 9/10
NOTE: Fiorentina are open from 6am-5pm 7 days a week, so there’s always time to drop in for a cannoli!

Divine Cannoli – Online & Delivered
A late addition to our review, we finally got our hands on these delectable cannoli from Divine Cannoli. They had been recommended by many of our followers on our Instagram review post. We sampled one of each flavour available:
- Original Ricotta
- Lemon Cheesecake
- Bounty Coconut
- Ferrero Hazelnut
- Vanilla Custard
- Tiramisu
- Pistachio
Divine Cannoli were the only one of the 5 reviewed who had the end of the shell dipped in chocolate… and we loved it! The pastry was crisp and firm but not too hard, and the filling of the original ricotta was the perfect consistency and not too sweet. The chocolate edge added that extra hit of sweetness.
We really rate Divine Cannoli highly, not only for the taste of the original but for the creativity of their other flavours which were all very delicious!
RATING: 10/10
NOTE: Divine Cannoli don’t have a shop front and can only be ordered online with delivery. The benefit of this is that will be freshly filled just before you receive them (always the best way to eat a cannoli). There is a minimum order required, and a delivery fee applies under $80.
