Whether it’s for a special occasion, or just getting together with your friends a special high tea is the perfect way to feel sophisticated.
Luckily for us, Perth has some great offerings of High Tea – suiting all different budgets. Here are some of our favourites:
Mid Century Cafè – Retro High Tea

For high tea in Perth with plenty of nostalgia, Mid Century Café & Collectibles in Yokine offers a charming, old-school experience that feels like stepping back into the 1950s, 60s and 70s. This is high tea without the formality – generous, comforting and served in a cute space filled with vintage crockery, mid-century furniture and retro collectibles. Available Monday to Saturday, 7am–3pm (bookings essential), it’s a popular choice for birthdays, hens parties and relaxed catch-ups with friends.

Guests are treated to a classic three-tier stand featuring a generous mix of 6 savoury and 5 sweet treats. While the menu changes seasonally, you can always expect freshly baked scones with jam and cream, traditional finger sandwiches and homemade sausage rolls, alongside a rotating selection of cakes and desserts. Each high tea also includes fresh juice and your choice of hot drink.
At just $60 per person, this high tea is fantastic value for the quantity and quality on offer (so generous that a doggie bag is often needed). Friendly service, a warm atmosphere and nostalgic flavours make this one of Perth’s true hidden gems for those who love vintage style and old-fashioned hospitality.
High Tea at The Westin Perth

If you enjoy a quality high tea experience, then The Westin Perth is a must-try! From the moment you step into the elegant and luxurious Haven Lounge at The Westin in the Perth CBD, you know you’re in for a treat. And, as you’d expect for the restaurant of a 5-star hotel, the service is impeccable. The Garden Spritz High Tea is held Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11.00am & 2.30pm and at $79pp comes with a range of unlimited premium Jing loose-leaf tea, barista-made coffee or hot chocolate to choose from. Add a glass of Chandon Brut or Chandon Rose for $10 more, or a cocktail for an additional $20.

The food arrives at the table on an elegant three-tier stand, generously laden with four savoury and five sweet creations per person. The menu changes seasonally, and during our visit the dessert selection included a financier with cocoa nib rocher and ganache, a white chocolate mousse with star anise and raspberry, a pear, lemongrass and Valrhona chocolate roulade, and a coconut, milk chocolate and pineapple pavlova tart. Each piece was beautifully crafted and thoughtfully balanced, as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate. The Westin High Tea is a truly indulgent experience and a luxurious choice for celebrating something special.
