High Tea at The Westin Perth

The Westin offers one of the best high tea in Perth

If you enjoy a quality high tea experience, then The Westin Perth is a must-try! From the moment you step into the elegant and luxurious Haven Lounge at The Westin in the Perth CBD, you know you’re in for a treat. And, as you’d expect for the restaurant of a 5-star hotel, the service is impeccable. The Westin High Tea is served with a range of unlimited premium Jing loose-leaf tea, barista-made coffee or hot chocolate to choose from. Or bubbly is available if you’d prefer.

The food is delivered to the table on a beautiful three-tier stand. Each holds four savoury and five sweet items per person. On the day we visited, the desserts featured a financier with cocoa nib rocher and ganache, a white chocolate mousse with star anise and raspberry, a pear, lemongrass and Valrhona chocolate roulade, and a coconut, milk chocolate and pineapple pavlova tart. Every item was highly curated and full of flavour, and the amount of food at The Westin High Tea is generous for the price. We enjoyed every mouthful and walked out feeling full!

Signature Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton

Savoury course at the Ritz Carlton High Tea in Perth

The Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton in Perth is a culinary experience of two courses – one savoury and one sweet. Both are served on Hearth’s unique three-tier timber stand and each dish features local Western Australian produce that is plated exquisitely. The standard price is paired with Seven Seas Tea from Margaret River or a coffee or hot chocolate if you prefer. In addition, you can also select a glass or two-hour flow of Howard Park Petit Jeté sparkling wine or Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage.

For the sweet treats, you are served scones with strawberry preserves and a Paris Brest Choux with incredible hazelnut flavour. A Finger Lamington looks almost too pretty to eat, and our favourite – the Strawberry Basil Tart tasted just like summer in your mouth. Price-wise, it’s what you’d expect to pay for a fine dining experience. Available every Saturday and Sunday at 12pm or 3pm in Hearth Restaurant. Or Monday to Friday from 12pm-4pm in Hearth Lounge. It’s a glamorous experience perfect for a special occasion!
